I have spent the better part of 20 years fixing complex systems. The military is the most bureaucratic, high stakes, complex, and ruthless organization in the world. There is no room for dogma when running counter to reality costs lives.

I joined the military at 20 years old as a young private trudging through the mud, was selected for the HQ protection element in Afghanistan, became a section commander of 10 soldiers, and commissioned to officer where I commanded a Company of over 200. I made a name for myself as an adaptive leader who excels at empowering teams to act as agents of modernization.

I first gained a passion for teaching at the Combat Training Center - Infantry School where I taught leadership career courses, rising to become the Chief Standards Officer for the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps. I also spent several years in the Administration Company of both the school and a front line combat unit. Not only have I become a passionate expert of tactics and strategy, but a master in logistics and leading institutional change.
